The Human Resources Department launched the Talent Development Program for the year 2018 with a vision to effectively plan government human resources, raise the competencies of Emirati employees and work on developing their skills, competencies, and performance. This contributes to the support and development of leaders and the development of competencies and talents of employees, as instilling positive attitudes in the hearts of employees is very important and takes them on the path of challenges reinforced with knowledge.
Qualified employees with high readiness to occupy leadership and vital positions were highlighted, as the program outputs aim for an integrated individual development plan, a high indicator of maintaining promising competence, a high rate of Emiratisation, and the provision of a database of capabilities available to government departments in the Emirate.
Noura Al-Shehhi, Deputy General Manager of the DHR said that the initiative will take place in four phases according to the plan. The second phase will screen the qualified candidates for the third stage, where the candidates will undergo the process of developing leadership capabilities and developing competencies according to the individual development plan. In the fourth stage, candidates will be assessed to identify their ability to reflect the skills acquired from the assessment centre in their workplace.
Note that the first stage of assessment has been completed in the test that measures mental, verbal, arithmetic, and logical abilities. The second and third stages will start, which are based on the results of assessment, where the candidates will undergo the process of developing competencies according to the plan that will be determined.
