In line with the outcomes and strategic directions of the UAE Digital Government leaders’ initiative “Digital Readiness Retreat – 2026”, which underscored the importance of strengthening digital resilience, digital sovereignty, and the use of assistive AI in advancing government operations, RAK Department of Human Resources has announced the launch of an integrated suite of artificial intelligence tools within RAK Government HCM e-System, “Mawaredna”. The initiative reflects the Department’s commitment to adopting the latest digital technologies and enhancing the future readiness of government operations.
The initiative comes as a part of RAK Government ongoing efforts to build a more efficient, agile, and proactive government ecosystem that enhances the employee experience, increases operational productivity, and informs decisions through data-driven insights and intelligent analytics, in alignment with the UAE’s vision of reinforcing its global leadership in digital government and artificial intelligence.
The launch coincides with the Department’s participation in the UAE Government Leaders Digital Readiness Retreat, represented by the DHR Deputy Director General and the Digital Transformation and Systems Department Director. The retreat focused on leveraging assistive AI as one of the key enablers of the future of government work and strengthening government entities’ ability to achieve digital resilience and respond to rapidly evolving challenges with efficiency and agility.
H.E. Sarah Al Zaabi, Director General of the Department of Human Resources, stressed that this initiative marks another milestone in the Department’s journey towards building an intelligent government human resources ecosystem capable of leveraging modern technologies to enhance services, improve operational efficiency, and elevate the employee experience.
She said: “Today, the UAE demonstrates that the future is created, not awaited, and artificial intelligence has become an integral part of that future. In line with this perspective, we continue to develop the Mawaredna platform into an intelligent system that supports decision-making, enhances productivity, and delivers more efficient and seamless services to employees and government entities, in line with the nation’s vision for a more prepared, agile, and sustainable digital government.”
She added that the DHR views AI as a strategic partner in developing government services and operations rather than merely a technological tool, which contributes to sustainable added value for both employees and government entities.
For her part, Amna Bualsafared, Digital Transformation and Systems Department Director, explained that the development of the AI toolkit within Mawaredna system is part of a strategic roadmap extending through 2027, aimed at strengthening the readiness of government human resources to leverage future technologies in accordance with global best practices.
She said: “The roadmap has been designed with a gradual and carefully planned approach focused on delivering tangible value to users, while adhering to the highest standards of digital governance, cybersecurity, and data protection. This supports the UAE’s vision of building a secure and sustainable digital ecosystem that reinforces trust and digital sovereignty.”
She added that the first phase includes a range of intelligent tools supporting recruitment processes, performance and objectives management, as well as assistive AI services for writing, analysis, translation, and knowledge management. It also provides personalised recommendations for learning and development, alongside support for succession planning, contributing to the enhancement of government human capital efficiency and its preparedness to meet future requirements.
The Department of Human Resources confirmed that this initiative forms part of a broader vision to build an AI-powered government work environment that enhances digital readiness, institutional resilience, and the quality of government services, while supporting the strategic objectives of RAK Government and reinforcing its position as a leader in adopting innovative and advanced digital solutions.
